This type of certification assures the consumer that the product was manufactured with raw material of forest certified under the rules of the Brazilian Forestry Certification Program (CERFLOR).
It's destined to manufacturers, buyers, sellers and distributors who process and trade forest products and suitable for any business or individual - such as printing, pulp and paper, packages, furnishings and cosmetics industries, construction companies, artisans, exporters, distributors and cooperatives.
Certified products receive the CERFLOR seal, internationally recognized by the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC), that indicates to the consumer that the product meets rigorous environmental, social and economic standards.
The certification also serves to guide the buyer to choose a differentiated product that doesn't degrade the environment and contributes to social and economic development of forest communities, providing the opening of new markets, more demanding and conscious.
